Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about how we work. Something missing? Ask us.

Do I need to be home?

No. Many clients give us a door code or leave a key. Tell us how you would like us to get in when you book.

Do you bring supplies and equipment?

Yes. We bring our own supplies and equipment. If you prefer particular products, let us know.

Are you insured?

Yes. Linens & Lemons is insured and bonded, and every cleaner passes a background check before working in a home. Ask us and we will send proof of insurance.

Who cleans my home?

Our cleaners are W2 employees of Linens & Lemons, not contractors, and they keep 100% of their tips.

What if I am not happy with the clean?

Tell us within 48 hours and we will send someone back to fix it at no charge.

How does cancelling work?

Cancel or reschedule free with 48 hours notice. With less notice we charge 50% of the visit. If we cannot get in, the full visit is charged.

Why is the first visit more expensive?

The first visit is a reset that takes about one and a half times as long, so it is priced at one and a half times the regular rate. After that your regular price applies.

Do you charge extra for pets?

Pets add $15 per visit, which covers extra time for hair and floors.

How do I pay?

By card after each clean. Tips are optional and go entirely to your cleaner.

Do you clean after a move or before a party?

Yes, as one time cleans. Because those homes often need a full reset, they are priced at the first visit rate. Call or text us to confirm.
