Why we started

I have lived in Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Charleston and now Charlotte. In every one of those cities I had the same problem: finding cleaners who were reliable and trustworthy. More than once I switched services twice in a single month.

Linens & Lemons is the service I wanted. It is built for working professionals who need a clean home they can count on, at a price that is clear and fair.

It is also built for the people who do the cleaning. I come from community organizing, and I believe a good company starts with good jobs. That means fair hourly pay, W2 employment, tips that go entirely to the cleaner, real training, and a team that is treated with respect. When people are treated well, they stay, and you get the same quality visit after visit.
